Made in Dagenham which has previewed in the famous
Adelphi Theatre of London Westend from the 9th of October. The exciting new London show has already created a lot of stir among the theatre goers. Feel the real magic of mesmerizing London classic with your near and dear ones at the opulent Adelphi theatre.
The lead role of Rita O’Grady is portrayed by the world famous former Bond girl, Gemma Arterton. She has performed in some of the international films like Tamara Drew. In the blockbuster 2010 movie, Sally Hawkins performed the lead role.
The story of MADE IN DAGENHAM was set in late 1960s in Essex and revolves around Rita O’ Grady, a working mother. The lady finds courage and lead a group of working women in a Ford factory for their fight for equal wages. The fight started with the announcement that pay will be down graded to unskilled for the women in sewing department.

After this announcement, Rita gathers all her courage and stand up for the cause. The role of her husband, Eddie will be portrayed by Adrian Der Gregor. Recently, he is wowing the theatre lovers with his charismatic performance of Sidney in The Sweet Smell of Success at The Arcola. Other immensely talented star cast includes Steve Furst, Mark Hadfield, Sophie Louise Dann, Sophie Stanton, Heather Craney, Sophie Isaacs, Julius D'Silva and Naomi Frederick.
Richard Bean penned the book of this brilliant musical comedy. He was also the writer of rib-tickling funny hits such as One Man, Two Guvnors. Brilliant composition by BAFTA and Grammy award-winning David Arnold who recently composed for James Bond movie. Lyrics are penned by Richard Thomas, writer of Jerry Springer the Opera.
Under the superb direction of multi-award winning director Bunny Christie, Made in Dagenham will be a complete treat to watch out for. Bunny Christie designed the set beautifully.
